Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop personalized treatment plans. Administer various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to target specific areas of pain or tension. Utilize knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to ensure safe and effective treatment delivery. Educate patients on self-care practices, occupational health considerations, and pain management strategies to support ongoing recovery. Maintain detailed documentation of treatments provided, patient progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with healthcare standards. Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care plans and optimize patient outcomes. Provide exceptional patient service by creating a welcoming environment that fosters trust and comfort throughout each session. Requirements Proven experience as a massage therapist with a focus on medical or therapeutic massage, preferably in a med spa or healthcare setting. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage practices. Skilled in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other advanced techniques aimed at pain relief and muscle recovery. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs accurately and adapt treatments accordingly. Familiarity with occupational health principles and pain management approaches. Certification or licensing as required by local regulations for practicing medical massage therapy. $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
