JOB TITLE/POSITION
Licensed Massage Therapist Hours:
PRN Wage:
$34.00-$38.00 DOE The Licensed Massage Therapist is a licensed professional trained to do Massage Therapy treatments and procedures with the exception of evaluations. The Licensed Massage Therapist duties are performed in accordance with the accepted professional standards of practice, regulations, and agency policy, and under the supervision of the DPS or Administrator.
Duties:
Performing massage related therapeutic activities, treatments and procedures under the direction of an authorized provider. Adherence to the patient's plan of care and designated goals. Provides accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care. Participation in coordination with the physician and other disciplines: LMT's may place and accept verbal/telephone physician orders related to their specific discipline under the supervision of the DPS or Clinical Manager and in accordance with the Physician Oral and Telephone Orders policy. Participation in in-service programs. Assessing and documenting the patient response to therapy treatments. Participation in educating the patient and family/caregivers as it relates to massage therapy. Completes mandatory education requirements annually to maintain competence. Attends required staff meetings and IDG. Participates in personal, professional growth and development. Also participates in organization's quality assessment performance improvement teams and activities. May be required to visit patients in homes that are not clean, or in poor repair, have poor ventilation, are infested with insects or rodents, and secondhand smoke. QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of a high school diploma. Current massage therapy license in accordance with regulations in planned State(s) of practice. Must be willing and able to travel between multiple patients. Previous healthcare experience required. Home care or hospice preferred. Must be able to work independently and must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic experience documenting electronic visit notes is preferred. Ability to function as a team member and appropriately seek supervision as needed. Must demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize and the ability to interact with all levels of staff in a courteous and professional manner.
