- Part-time Dragon Hand Massage is a small, locally owned massage and bodywork studio in Mechanicsburg, and we are hiring a part-time Licensed Massage Therapist.
We are an appointment-only studio with a steady, established client base and a calm, unhurried pace. This is a W-2 employee position, not contract work, with paid time off and continuing education support. We are looking for a licensed therapist who does excellent hands-on work, takes pride in a clean and welcoming treatment space, and wants to build lasting relationships with clients in a setting that values quality over volume. What we offer Commission-based pay starting at 42% of each service. A 60-minute massage earns a $39.90 commission . Tips on top of that. Clients typically tip 15 to 25 percent, which brings most 60-minute sessions to roughly $55 to $65 total . Your commission rate is reviewed after a 90-day probationary period. Paid weekly by direct deposit. Paid time off that accrues as you work. $500 toward continuing education each license renewal cycle, after your probationary period. Because we are appointment-only, your scheduled time is spent with clients, not sitting and waiting to see who walks in. A small, supportive studio where you work directly with the owner. What you will do Perform massage and bodywork, including Swedish, deep tissue, and therapeutic work, tailored to each client's needs. Prepare and reset your treatment room between clients, including laundering and caring for your own linens. Check clients out and help them rebook to support continuity of care. Keep accurate, professional session notes. Maintain a clean, calm, and welcoming space throughout your shift. What we are looking for A current Pennsylvania massage therapy license (LMT). Current professional liability insurance, active before your first day. Reliability, professionalism, and genuine care for clients. Comfortable working independently. You will often be the only person in the building, including opening and closing, so we need someone trustworthy and safety-minded. Experience with prenatal massage, reflexology, assisted stretching, or Reiki is a plus, but not required. Your safety matters here Your wellbeing is a priority, not an afterthought. We hold a strict zero-tolerance policy on inappropriate client behavior, and you are fully empowered to end any session that crosses a line, with our complete backing. Schedule and location This is a part-time, appointment-only position at our Mechanicsburg studio, with roughly 15 to 20 hands-on hours a week. The available days are Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, and your schedule will include at least one weekend day. You will have input into which days and hours you work.
