•Weekends only• Overview Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor Massage Therapist, where your expertise will transform wellness and elevate patient care. This role offers the flexibility to work independently while delivering exceptional massage therapy services tailored to individual needs. You will play a vital part in promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being through personalized treatments. We are committed to supporting your professional growth and ensuring a rewarding experience for both you and your clients. Duties Provide professional massage therapy sessions utilizing techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address specific patient concerns. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical history. Apply advanced massage modalities including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic techniques to alleviate pain and improve mobility. Educate patients on pain management strategies, occupational health practices, and self-care routines to enhance long-term wellness outcomes. Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including patient progress notes and treatment details, adhering to medical terminology standards. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment by following proper hygiene protocols and adhering to CPR and other safety regulations. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, providing excellent customer service and fostering a positive therapeutic relationship. Skills Strong patient service orientation with excellent communication skills to effectively assess needs and explain treatment options. Proficiency in massage therapy techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Solid understanding of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage. Ability to perform comprehensive patient assessments for customized treatment planning. Knowledge of pain management principles and occupational health practices to support recovery and well-being. CPR certification is required for safety compliance; additional certifications in med spa treatments or occupational health are a plus. Prior experience in med spa environments or similar settings is highly desirable for delivering specialized care.
