About the Role I'm looking to bring on a massage therapist to join my physical therapy and performance business, Repsℜcover. We work primarily with active adults and athletes—people who train hard and want to move better, recover faster, and stay healthy long term. This is not a spa setting. Most of our clients are coming in with a purpose—whether that's getting out of pain, improving mobility, or recovering between training sessions. What You'll Be Doing Providing sports and deep tissue massage Working with clients dealing with tightness, mobility limitations, or past/current injuries Collaborating with me (PT) on shared clients when appropriate Helping clients understand what's going on in their body and how to stay ahead of issues Option to incorporate tools like cupping, scraping, or stretching if that's part of your skillset Who This Is a Good Fit For You enjoy working with active people or athletes You like a more clinical or performance-based environment You're confident in your hands-on skills and communication You want to grow a consistent client base (not just fill random appointments)
Requirements:
Active Illinois Massage Therapy License Nice to Have (not required): Experience with sports massage or rehab settings Familiarity with cupping, IASTM, or assisted stretching Schedule & Pay Flexible hours (evenings and/or weekends are ideal) Contractor position (1099) Pay based on session or percentage split (we can discuss what makes sense based on experience) Why This Opportunity Is Different You'll get referrals directly from a physical therapy caseload You'll be working inside a gym environment with motivated clients There's room to build something long-term here, not just pick up extra hours
