Massage Therapist PACE Organization of Rhode Island - 4.5 Riverside, RI Job Details Part-time $30.00 - $31.25 an hour 1 hour ago Qualifications CPR Certification BLS Certification Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Massage Therapy License Full Job Description This position is part-time, up to 30 hours per week and comes with benefits! Focus on clinical neuromuscular massage is preferred. If you have any lymphatic drainage experience, do not hesitate to apply, but it is not required.
Job Summary:
The Massage Therapist will perform therapeutic massage services to participants in the day center as prescribed by a PCP. Assessment and treatment will be geared toward improving circulation, promoting relaxation, and relieving stress, pain and injury associated with the geriatric population. Evaluate clients' soft tissue condition, joint quality and function, muscle strength, and range of motion Develop and propose participant treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used Consult with participants about their medical histories and any problems with stress and/or pain in order to determine whether massage would be helpful Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions, injuries or wellness maintenance Prepare and blend oils, and apply the blends to participant's skin Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records utilizing the
PACE RI EMR
Coordinate transportation and scheduling in conjunction with the Health Center Administrative Assistant.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma, Required 2 Years of direct service work, Preferred 1 Year of experience in a Medical or Geriatric Care setting, Preferred 1 year of experience working with a frail or elderly population, Preferred Rhode Island Massage Therapist License (LMT) CPR Certification Driver's License & access to reliable transportation
