This role combines front desk administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless experience for patients from their initial contact through treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional patient service. You will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and supporting clinical operations to promote overall clinic efficiency and patient satisfaction. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow within a fast-paced, health-focused environment. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression and smooth check-in process Manage appointment scheduling using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and HIPAA compliance, to facilitate accurate billing and claims processing Assist with medical documentation review, ensuring accuracy in care plans, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical records management Handle medical billing and collections efficiently Answer multi-line phone systems professionally while providing excellent customer service and addressing patient inquiries Maintain organized medical records and ensure proper filing of both paper and electronic documents in accordance with health information management standards Skills Proven experience in medical office management or as a medical receptionist within a clinic or dental setting Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and insurance verification procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and scheduling purposes Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and 10-key typing for data entry tasks Exceptional phone etiquette with the ability to handle multi-line phone systems confidently Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively Prior clinic or dental office experience is preferred to ensure quick adaptation to our workflow and procedures Join us in making a difference by providing outstanding care coordination and administrative support!
