Our office brings together rehabilitation-focused services in a professional, collaborative setting. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage Therapist to provide therapeutic massage and recovery services that complement—without replacing—physical therapy and chiropractic care. Position summary The Licensed Massage Therapist will provide high-quality therapeutic massage to patients and clients seeking pain relief, mobility support, stress reduction, sports recovery, and ongoing wellness care. The ideal candidate is confident working with musculoskeletal concerns, communicates clearly, maintains excellent professional boundaries, and values collaboration with rehabilitation providers. This role is appropriate for an LMT who wants to grow a patient base in a private clinical environment rather than a high-volume spa setting. Responsibilities Conduct client intake, health history review, and massage-appropriate assessments before each treatment. Provide therapeutic massage services tailored to individual goals, comfort, contraindications, and scope of practice. Use appropriate techniques such as Swedish massage, deep-tissue massage, sports massage, trigger-point work, myofascial techniques, and stretching within training and licensure. Educate clients on self-care, hydration, recovery habits, mobility, ergonomic considerations, and appropriate follow-up. Recognize contraindications, red flags, and situations that require referral or coordination with a physical therapist, chiropractor, physician, or other healthcare provider. Maintain timely, accurate, and professional intake forms, consent documentation, and treatment notes. Maintain a clean, comfortable, private, and fully prepared massage-treatment space, including linens, table sanitation, supplies, and equipment. Protect patient privacy and follow all clinic confidentiality, safety, infection-control, and professional-boundary policies. Coordinate appropriately with the OrthoRehab team while respecting each discipline's individual scope of practice. Participate in community outreach, patient education, and ethical efforts to grow the massage and recovery program. Qualifications Current, active Texas Licensed Massage Therapist license in good standing. Graduation from a TDLR-approved massage therapy program. Current CPR certification preferred. Experience or strong interest in therapeutic, orthopedic, sports, and/or rehabilitation-focused massage. Strong knowledge of contraindications, professional boundaries, client privacy, and ethical practice. Excellent communication, interpersonal, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to work independently and maintain a dependable appointment schedule. Ability to perform the physical duties of massage therapy, including standing, bending, lifting, and providing hands-on care for scheduled sessions. Experience working with active adults, athletes, golfers, orthopedic conditions, or post-rehabilitation clients. Additional training in sports massage, myofascial techniques, neuromuscular therapy, cupping, prenatal massage, or other relevant modalities. Experience in a medical, physical therapy, chiropractic, fitness, or wellness setting. Spanish-language ability is a plus, but not required. Compensation and benefits $30-$45 per hands-on service hour, based on experience, schedule availability, client retention, and relevant training. Flexible part-time or full-time scheduling.
