We are hiring Licensed Massage Therapists (LMT) as W-2 employees to join our beautiful, boutique day spa in Tacoma's historic Stadium District. We provide a completely hassle-free employment experience where we take care of all bookings, laundry, and spa supplies so you can focus entirely on your craft. Our stunning treatment rooms are fully equipped with ergonomic hydraulic tables and hydraulic saddle stools to actively protect your body and reduce physical strain.
As an employee, you will enjoy a Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and other modalities tailored to client needs Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns and develop customized treatment plans Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide guidance on self-care practices for ongoing wellness Maintain detailed records of treatments, client progress, and health history in compliance with privacy regulations Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients during each session Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and address any concerns or discomforts Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and continuing education requirements such as CPR certification Skills Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and pain management Proven experience in patient service with excellent client communication skills Expertise in various massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments Ability to assess patient needs accurately and adjust treatments accordingly for optimal results Familiarity with medical documentation standards and maintaining detailed treatment records Customer service-oriented mindset with a positive attitude and professional demeanor CPR certification is required; ongoing education in massage therapy modalities is preferred Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is a plus Join us to help clients feel their best through expert touch and compassionate care!
