JOB SUMMARY
As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at an all service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Geneva Lake. We aim to hire individuals who are ready and committed to exceed the expectation of every guest by genuinely creating lasting memories, maintaining a positive attitude and by providing outstanding service every time.
BASIC FUNCTION
The Massage Therapist will perform massage services and provide personal attention to each guest. They will also help greet clients in the locker room and introduces the facilities. Help monitor the spa common areas for cleanliness, safety, and provides direction or instruction when appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK
EXPERIENCE
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • State Licensed as a Massage Therapist.
  • Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
  • Proficiency in various massage techniques, including deep tissue massage.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and understand their needs.
  • Ability to adapt massage techniques based on guest's preferences and health conditions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Perform various massage techniques to address guest's specific needs and preferences.
  • Assess guest's health conditions and medical history to determine the most appropriate massage techniques and treatment plans.
  • Prepare and maintain treatment area supplies daily.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing equipment and changing linens between guests.
  • Knowledge of retail spa products, promote and make recommendations to guests.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS
  • Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
  • Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
  • Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
  • Perform special tasks as requested by the Spa Leadership team
  • Attend monthly meetings conducted by the Spa Leadership Team
  • Oversee and maintain the cleanliness and neatness of facility, including treatment rooms.
  • Ability to lift 20-30 pounds.
  • Help the Avani Spa as necessary.
  • Maintain Professional Appearance following guidelines
ENVIRONMENT
Work indoors in treatment rooms, in and around health club including exercise equipment, saunas and spas. Temperatures might very a bit depending the location in the spa. Hard surfaces throughout. Exposed to possibly slippery floors. We are an
