Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various massage techniques and a commitment to enhancing the overall well-being of our clients. You will be responsible for providing therapeutic massage services tailored to individual needs, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and recovery. Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine individual needs and treatment plans. Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, and other modalities as required. Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and in good working condition. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and provide recommendations for ongoing care. Document treatment sessions accurately, including client progress and any changes in their condition. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans for pain management and rehabilitation. Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and best practices in occupational health. Front office work i.e. answering phones, emails, checking people in and out, etc. Have good hygiene Works well with staff Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to effectively assess client needs. Proficient in deep tissue massage techniques and trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical terminology related to patient care. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients. Understanding of pain management strategies and their application in therapeutic settings. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately to tailor treatments effectively. Knowledge of med spa practices is a plus but not required.
