Full Job Description Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:
Perform general nursing duties Perform suture/staple removal Perform wound care/dressing changes Assist with or perform x-rays for MD Drawing up medications; calling in medications Application of sterile fields Applying and removing casts and splints Fitting for orthotics Locate any necessary films, test results, and/or reports for upcoming appointments Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for clinic, power up computers etc. Prepare charts for clinic and print out patient information as requested by the physician Schedule tests/procedures and surgeries and precert as needed Schedule follow-up appointments Verify pre-op labs and scheduling surgery clearances as needed Prepare surgery packets Assist other physician team members as needed Fill out disability, return-to-work and insurance forms Obtain physician signature on miscellaneous forms Check-out patients, collect co-pays and/or deductibles Friendly and professional patient communication when speaking to patients, procedure education, escorting patient to and from exam rooms and communicating test results to patients.
Must also possess:
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline Outstanding organizational, verbal and writing skills Independent and highly motivated Initiative and self-discipline Proven positive, "teamwork" attitude in work history
Physical Demands:
Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully Constant standing and walking for long periods of time Must be agile and able to work efficiently in space limited areas Consistently work at a productive pace Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
