Job Description
Overview CROSM Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, the office of Dr. David Dueland and Dr. Ben Gomez, is seeking an experienced Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our orthopedic surgery practice. Qualified candidates must hold a current Medical Assistant Certification. Responsibilities Triaging and rooming patients. Performing X-rays. Applying and removing casts, splints, and braces. Providing wound care and dressing changes. Obtaining pre-certifications and prior authorizations for CTs, MRIs and labs. Assisting with orthopedic procedures and patient care. Documenting accurately in the EMR (experience with Systemedx is a plus!) Performing other clinical and administrative duties as needed. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program. Previous experience in Orthopedics is highly recommended. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (If the applicant cannot consistently work these hours, please do not apply). Proficiency in medical terminology. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, and health regulation policies to support accurate patient care. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations, medical documentation standards, and confidentiality handling practices. Pay:
