Medical Assistant Immediate Care Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support clinical Primary Care. This role involves direct patient care, administrative support, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. Must have experience in a Primary Care setting. The Medical Assistant will utilize their knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and EHR systems to provide comprehensive support in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and vital signs Prepare patients for examinations and procedures in outpatient and inpatient settings Support physicians with medication administration, injections, and basic life support as needed Operate and maintain medical equipment such as EKG Document patient information accurately within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Assist with Prior Authorizations and Referrals Support patient service activities by answering questions and providing education on treatment plans Perform basic procedures related to dermatology, internal medicine, or emergency medicine as required Assist in the management of patient flow within clinic Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas in compliance with safety standards Requirements Proven experience in clinical settings such as outpatient clinic. Primary Care office preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required Familiarity with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions Ability to perform patient care tasks including vital signs collection and medication administration Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure situations typical of urgent care Prior hospital experience or clinic experience is highly desirable This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to patient health outcomes across various healthcare environments while developing your professional skills within a dynamic team.
