About the Role ExperCARE is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Lab Tech/Medical Assistant to join our high-performing clinical team. In this role, you will provide hands-on clinical and laboratory support that directly impacts patient diagnosis, treatment, and overall experience. You will assist providers with patient care, perform in-house lab testing, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate, timely results. You will work closely with the care team to deliver a seamless, positive experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for exams, obtaining vital signs and medical histories Perform routine in-house laboratory testing including CLIA-waived tests, urinalysis, rapid tests, and specimen collection Conduct routine and specialized lab procedures following established protocols Prepare, label, and process biological specimens for in-house testing or reference lab submission Maintain, clean, and calibrate lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability Document all patient interactions, procedures, and test results accurately in the EHR Assist providers with procedures such as wound care, splinting, injections, and point-of-care testing Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment Collaborate with providers and clinical teammates to support patient care and workflow Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families Minimum Qualifications Medical Assistant diploma or certificate, or relevant lab technician training Prior experience in a clinical, urgent care, or medical office setting Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and infection control practices Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and customer service skills Preferred Qualifications Associate's degree in Laboratory Technology or related field Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) Experience performing CLIA-waived testing in a clinical setting Experience using electronic health records and laboratory information systems Skills This position requires proficiency in clinical and laboratory techniques, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow protocols consistently. Clear communication and teamwork are essential for supporting providers and ensuring a smooth patient experience. Strong problem-solving skills are valuable when troubleshooting equipment or managing unexpected results. Familiarity with laboratory information systems is helpful and can support efficient workflow and accurate documentation. 8:30am
