Job Description

Job description Maverick Men's Health is looking for an experienced Medical Assistant for our Fayetteville, AR clinic, that wants to be on the cutting edge of Men's health. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, is detailed oriented, and operates safely and efficiently in this fast-paced environment. The most important aspect of this job is to be personable and empathetic to male patients' needs and concerns so that the patient feels comfortable in discussing all issues they might be having. This person should also be excited to celebrate the successes of the patients throughout their journey! This would be a role where you can build relationships and see the positive results you are making in our patients' lives.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED MA Certification (if not currently certified, please explain) Laboratory specimen collection (blood-draw/venipuncture) Knowledge of computerized information systems (EMR)
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish The MA is responsible for providing direct or indirect care to patients; utilizes knowledge of basic Medical Assistant principals, practices, and ethics; provide a positive, supportive environment for patients and other staff while working in conjunction with the physician, advanced practice clinicians, front office and clinical staff. A successful Medical Assistant will have strong communication skills and a dedication to customer service and patient care.
Job Duties:
Perform Clinical Intake with patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history Assist provider with surgical procedures Assist with answering phones and appointment scheduling Administer injections, perform blood draws Proper, concise and complete EMR documentation. Assist with general medical tasks Manage inventory of supplies; restock exam/procedure rooms Maintain clinical supplies and equipment and ensure proper storage of biohazards Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to protocol Clean exam/procedure rooms and equipment between patient visits See numerous patients in a timely and efficient manner Work independently within the scope of practice and as a team player Educate patients on proper diet, exercise, and healthy lifestyles Work with the clinical and non-clinical staff to better serve the patients Offer, educate, and implement ancillary services to our patients Be familiar with or have experience in EMR to chart quickly and efficiently

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
