Friday Summary:
The Clinic Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) assists the physician with patient examinations and treatments. Key duties include patient intake, vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and documenting a complete patient health history in the electronic medical record. The position requires strong decision-making skills, knowledge of anatomy, and proficiency in medical terminology. The ability to multitask is essential. Responsibilities may also include drawing and collecting blood samples and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis, which involves potential exposure to bodily fluids. The RMA must be friendly, professional, and able to maintain a fast pace during clinic hours.

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE
Minimum one year work experience, preferably in health care clinic setting. Ability to respond appropriately to instructions.
CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, BONDING
American Heart Association, BLS. Current Medical Assistant Certificate.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS
May be exposed to a variety of healthcare settings, including clinical, office or maintenance environments This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
