Summary We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our busy Family Practice clinic, Lake Hamilton Family Medicine. The ideal candidate will provide both clinical and administrative support while delivering exceptional care to patients of all ages. This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Room patients and obtain vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits and procedures Administer injections, immunizations, and medications as ordered by providers Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Process prescription refill requests and communicate provider instructions Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals as needed Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment Follow infection control, HIPAA, OSHA, and clinic safety standards Provide excellent customer service to patients and families Performs related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates Requirements Proven experience as MA or similar role Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team Familiarity with health, safety and sanitation standards and procedures Understanding of confidentiality obligations Excellent knowledge of medical terminology Good knowledge of MS Office and data entry Strong communication and organizational skills
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
