Medical Assistant Lead and Practice Manager Position Summary The Medical Assistant supports the delivery of high-quality primary healthcare services by performing a variety of clinical and administrative duties within the clinic. This position works closely with providers, patients, and staff to ensure efficient patient care and smooth daily operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms and treatment areas for daily operations. Escort patients to and from examination rooms. Obtain and document vital signs, chief complaints, and other pertinent patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Assist physicians and mid-level providers during patient visits and procedures. Set up and assist with procedures, including trigger point injections and spinal cord stimulator (SCS) staple removal. Administer Toradol injections as directed and within scope of practice. Complete pre-procedure checklists and ensure patients have received all necessary procedure instructions and information. Enter patient consents and procedure documentation into the EMR. Update opioid agreements/contracts as applicable. Clean and disinfect examination rooms after each patient visit. Clean, restock, and maintain medical equipment and supplies. Prepare and sterilize instruments as needed. Properly dispose of biohazardous materials in accordance with clinic policies
Requirements:
Qualifications Education and Certification High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program required. Current CPR certification required. Skills and Experience Knowledge of medical terminology. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients, providers, management, and colleagues. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and work independently or as part of a team. Proficiency with computer systems, including Microsoft Office applications; experience with EMR systems preferred. Bilingual skills are a plus. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and excellent attendance. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds when necessary and assist patients safely to and from chairs and vehicles. Travel Requirements Occasional travel to the Chandler clinic location may be required to provide coverage and support operational needs.
