Job Description
Medical Assistant Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality primary care to our patients. Under the supervision of the Practice Manager, you will support medical providers, care managers, and other staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a positive clinical experience. This position offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative, patient-centered environment committed to improving community health.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare examination rooms for patient visits by turning on instruments, computer systems, lights, and ensuring cleanliness and proper stock of supplies. Assist medical providers during patient examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, and preparing necessary documentation. Support care coordination efforts by facilitating communication between patients and healthcare team members. Administer basic nursing care within the scope of certification and agency protocols. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and clinical activities. Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols within the clinic environment. Facilitate patient flow by managing appointment schedules and assisting with patient check-in and check-out processes. Perform clerical duties such as updating patient records, scheduling follow-up appointments, and managing correspondence as needed.Skills and Qualifications:
Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent). Proven experience in a clinical setting, preferably in primary care or outpatient clinics. Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and infection control standards. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a compassionate and professional demeanor. Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Ability to follow established protocols and procedures accurately.Employee Benefits:
