Medical Assistant

Responsibilities Daily cleaning of exam rooms Weekly Disinfecting Emptying Biohazard containers Filling anesthesia syringes as needed Preparing lab requisitions for procedures Refilling Patient handouts and brochures All office visit data to be entered into ModMed EMR, including assisting attending Physician and with EMR notes Schedule patients for procedures Scan in outsourced lab results and doctor correspondence Wash/Process instruments Maintain lab equipment Organize and dispose of expired samples Answer nurse calls for patients and pharmacies Refill Pharmaceuticals Other Duties as Assigned Prior Auth on procedures Prior Auth on prescriptions Assist in Mohs surgery Communicate any issues or opportunities to management/owner immediately Perform all duties with a 98% accuracy rate High School diploma or equivalent

Qualifications Proficient in medical administrative support and EHR systems Strong knowledge of medical terminology and physiology Experience in patient care, including vital signs and intake procedures Basic life support certification Familiarity with urgent care and dermatology practices Experience in various medical settings, including inpatient and outpatient care
