Northern Apache County Special Health Care District is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our growing healthcare team. Our mission is to provide high-quality preventive and primary healthcare services that are reliable, accessible, and responsive to the needs of our communities. Essential ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and pulse. Collect laboratory specimens and perform basic clinical testing. Assist providers during examinations and procedures. Maintain examination rooms and ensure adequate supplies are available. Perform patient screening and triage activities. Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality. Interpret/translate for providers when needed. Administrative Duties Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner. Answer phones and route calls appropriately. Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information. Schedule appointments and referrals. Maintain patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements. Open and close the clinic as assigned. Assist with quality control and clinic operations. Minimum Qualifications Graduate of a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program. Current Medical Assistant Certification. Current CPR/BLS Certification. Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card. Associate Degree in Medical Assisting or related medical specialty with one (1) year of experience. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of Medical Assistant experience. Bilingual in English and Navajo. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
