The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support, including taking patient histories, preparing patients for exams, collecting and recording vital signs, and assisting physicians in procedures. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for providing quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist Physicians and/or Nurse Practitioners with patient care; rooming, taking vitals, prescription refills, returning patient calls. Assist in office procedures and wound care. Maintain patient records and medical charts. Schedule patient appointments and maintain the physician's calendar. Submitting referrals and test orders as requested by provider. Answer telephones, take messages, and respond to inquiries from patients and other medical personnel. Maintain exam rooms by checking inventory/medical supplies. Works within scope of practice of a Medical Assistant. Additional duties as required. Rural traveling to Benson and Nogales AZ for clinics.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
MA certification (not required but is preferred) BLS certification. Good communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Ability to travel to other sites as necessary. Ability to work well with others. Bilingual (English and Spanish)
Minimum Qualifications:
Minumun of 2 years experience
