Job Description

We are hiring a Medical Assistant to assist the Nursing Team!
Pay rate:
$23.50 per hour
Schedule:
Full-time, Tues-Sat,10:00am-6:30pm
Responsibilities:
Take vials, including temperature, pulse, respiration's, blood pressure, and weights. Completes resident assessments (initial and on-going). Enter, update, and audit MARs. Assist with admissions and discharges. Assists care staff with lifting or transferring of residents as needed. Provide backup medication assistance when necessary. Assist in the collection of specimens (bladder and bowel) for labs. Maintains and stocks supplies in medication rooms and nursing offices. Orders all medical supplies as needed. Assists in answering phones, filing charts, ordering and checking in medications from pharmacy. Assists with ordering tests, lab, x-rays, scans, and taking of physician orders. Assists nurse as needed. Performs other work as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Current Medical Assistant certification Ability to solve problems and make decisions independently Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively Proof of eligibility to work in US TB clearance Current COVID vaccinations Fingerprint clearance from the FBI and DOJ (we pay for it)
