  • Per diem Job Summary The Medical Assistant position is designed for individuals seeking to gain practical experience in a healthcare setting. This role provides support within a clinical environment, specifically focusing on medical administrative tasks and patient service.
  • This is not a summer position.
  • Looking for a candidate that has already graduated from a university and is pursuing to accumulate hours for graduate school.
Duties Assist with support tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records. Provide patient service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and guiding them through the clinic process. Support healthcare staff in monitoring vital signs and documenting patient information accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation within the clinic setting. Familiarize yourself with medical terminology to effectively communicate with staff and patients. Participate in training sessions related to basic life support techniques and internal medicine practices. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote a professional environment. Experience Prior experience related to medical administrative support is preferred but not required. Familiarity with systems used in healthcare settings is advantageous. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare environment is essential for success in this role. This position offers valuable hands-on experience for students pursuing careers in healthcare, providing an opportunity to develop essential skills while contributing positively to patient care.
