Experienced Medical Assistant (Front & Back Office) Treatment Center for Pain Bakersfield, California Full-Time Join Our Growing Team! Treatment Center for Pain is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Medical Assistant to join our busy pain management practice. We are looking for a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced medical environment and is committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service. This position requires proficiency in both front office and back office responsibilities. The ideal candidate is punctual, organized, detail-oriented, and works well as part of a collaborative team. Responsibilities Front Office Check patients in and out Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations Schedule new and follow-up appointments Answer multi-line phones professionally Collect patient payments and maintain accurate records Upload insurance cards and patient documentation Provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors Back Office Room patients and obtain vital signs Prepare patients for provider evaluations and procedures Administer injections and medications as directed by the provider Assist with in-office pain management procedures Perform urine drug screening collection Maintain accurate medical documentation Stock and maintain exam rooms Follow OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control guidelines Required Qualifications Current Medical Assistant certification (preferred) Minimum 2 years of medical assistant experience (Pain Management experience preferred) Experience working in a high-volume medical office Knowledge of medical terminology Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong multitasking abilities Reliable transportation and excellent attendance Required Skills Applicants must be proficient in: Prognosis EMR AdvancedMD Microsoft Office Medical documentation Insurance verification Customer service Front office operations Back office clinical duties Multitasking in a fast-paced environment We Are Looking For Someone Who Is Punctual and dependable Friendly and professional A strong team player Willing to learn and grow Adaptable to changing priorities Detail-oriented and organized Able to remain calm under pressure Committed to delivering outstanding patient care Possesses excellent customer service and communication skills Preferred Experience Pain Management Orthopedics Neurology Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Interventional Procedures Telemedicine workflows Benefits Competitive pay (DOE) Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Opportunities for professional growth Supportive and collaborative work environment Monday-Friday schedule (No weekends) How to Apply Please submit: Resume References Medical Assistant Certification (if applicable) Treatment Center for Pain is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to providing exceptional patient care while fostering a professional, respectful, and team-oriented workplace.
