Job Description:
We seek a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at Priority Urgent Care. The ideal candidate will be crucial in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist healthcare providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Obtain and accurately record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints. Prepare patients for medical procedures and administer medications as directed. Perform basic laboratory tests such as blood draws and urinalysis. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring proper stocking of medical supplies. Educate patients about their conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up care. Ensure compliance with all infection control and safety protocols. Document patient information accurately and maintain electronic health records. Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling, patient check-in/check-out, and insurance verification. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and inquiries. Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care delivery.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Medical Assistant certification required. Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in an urgent care or similar clinical setting is a plus. Proficiency in basic medical procedures and knowledge of medical terminology. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities. Basic computer skills, including experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems. BLS certification required. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
