Job Description

Foot & Ankle Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide valuable support for our newest Practitioner. We are a lively, active practice - this is not a passive role - and we're seeking a team member who welcomes this with a flexible, positive attitude. An MA certification is desirable, though all highly motivated candidates with a desire to learn and expand their knowledge base are welcome to apply. Skills and experience One years experience preferred, however newly certified candidates may be considered Competency working within EMR systems Familiarity with ModMed EMR would be particularly helpful Basic computer literacy is essential Ideally, familiarity with Microsoft Suite and Microsoft Teams workflows Basic Spanish proficiency beneficial in this role Interpersonal & Communication Skills Providing compassionate care for patients and their families Understanding patient concerns and relaying them to providers Working with diverse populations respectfully Taking an enthusiastic, positive and flexible approach in support of staff and patients alike Showing good attention to detail, avoiding errors in patient records and medication dosages Remaining calm under pressure Addressing problems and correcting errors in a timely manner Ideal Clinical Skills Taking vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature) assisting with exams and providing basic patient education Drawing blood for lab tests Applying casts, bandages and proper wound care Following proper sterilization and sanitization protocols Handling lab samples like urine or blood A basic understanding of anatomy, medical terminology and common conditions Compensation and benefits $19-24 per hour commensurate with experience and qualifications Paid leave Health insurance This is a full-time position Monday to Friday No evenings or weekend work will be required If you'd like to join our team, we look forward to hearing from you!
