One Community. One Mission. One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Medical Assistant, you will ensure smooth daily operations for your patients and the medical team. You can expect to support multiple patients daily, depending on physician availability.
Every day you will proactively prepare patient charts, assist with patients exams or procedure and relay physician instructions, administer physician-directed medication and perform accurate vital sign measurements, manage medical records (charts and EMR), communicate patient concerns to providers, and collaborate with physicians, insurance, and pharmacies for medication authorizations and refills.. To be successful in this role, you must have an enthusiasm to help others and the ability to work efficiently and provide empathy for our patients. Job Requirements Required High School Graduate General Studies or GED General Studies Technical School Satisfactory completion of a formal Medical Assistant program pursuant to the Division of Allied Health Professions or Military training that is equivalent to an accredited Medical Assistant program (determination by Dignity Health Medical Foundation H.R. department in conjunction with the State Division of Allied Health Professions.) Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire Preferred Six (6) month's experience in a cardiology setting as a Medical Assistant
