Job Description

Looking for a temporary Certified Medical Assistant to work in a busy family practice office located in Brentwood. Experience working in a family practice is a plus. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys working in a fast paced environment, where multi tasking skills are key. You will have a high degree of responsibility and independence. The Medical Assistant works with the physician and other members of the primary or specialty care team by performing a variety of clinical and administrative patient-related duties. The Medical Assistant also works to fulfill a variety of patient assistant reports directly to the practice manager or supervisor. Front office
Responsibilities:
Greet patients with a positive upbeat attitude Triage multi-line phone calls and return messages with a positive attitude Scan, upload and enter patient data into Electronic Health Record (EHR) Send messages to providers Collecting co-pay and past due balance and batching payment Prescription follow up and prior authorizations Prior billing experience is a plus Giving basic lab results over the phone Assisting other front office staff with tasks, as needed Uploading and entering new patient paperwork Keeping front office/waiting room sanitized between patients
Back Office Responsibilities:
Rooming patients in office and remotely Taking vital signs Injections Ordering Labs/Imaging Testing Urine Set up Pap Trays Assisting in procedures
Sterilizing Rooms Wound Care Ear Lavages Administrating Breathing Treatments Mandatory Qualifications:
Excellent customer service/interpersonal skills Medical Terminology Excellent verbal and written communication skills Comfort with interacting with elderly and disabled Comfort with bodily fluids Strong computer skills Strong Medical Judgement Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment Strongly Preferred Qualifications Electronic Health Records experience (EPIC) Preferred 1+ years experience as a Medical Assistant in an outpatient medical clinic
Certifications/Licensures:
BLS
  • Basic Life Support
  • Certification Required CPR/First Aid
  • Certification Preferred but Not Required Certified Medical Assistant
  • CMA Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) Preferred but
Not Required Pay:
$22.00
