Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Hepatoscope Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting advanced hepatology and interventional radiology procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment dedicated to patient care and medical excellence. You will assist physicians with hepatoscopy procedures, manage patient assessments, and ensure the smooth operation of specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. Your expertise will contribute directly to improving patient outcomes in a setting that values precision, compassion, and teamwork. Responsibilities Prepare patients for hepatoscopy procedures by explaining the process, obtaining vital signs, and ensuring proper positioning. Assist physicians during hepatoscopy, interventional radiology, and cardiac catheterization procedures by handling instruments and maintaining sterile fields using aseptic techniques. Monitor patient vital signs continuously during procedures, observing for any signs of distress or complications. Operate sonography equipment to assist in diagnostic evaluation and imaging necessary for interventional procedures. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient responses, and diagnostic findings in compliance with hospital protocols. Support the cath lab team by preparing equipment, managing supplies, and ensuring all tools meet safety standards. Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and emergency protocols relevant to trauma centers and Level I trauma environments. Skills Extensive understanding of interventional radiology techniques and cardiac catheterization processes. Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpreting vital signs during complex procedures. Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology essential for accurate assessment and communication. Experience with sonography technology used for diagnostic evaluation within the cath lab setting. Ability to maintain aseptic technique rigorously to prevent infections during invasive procedures. Familiarity with emergency medicine protocols and experience working in Level II trauma centers or higher-level trauma environments. Strong organizational skills to support high-pressure situations typical of Level I Trauma Centers while ensuring patient safety at all times.
