Job Description

We are seeking per diem Pathologists Assistants to provide coverage for our Pathologists Assistants, evenings 6pm-12am) The ideal candidate needs to have strong surgical pathology knowledge, be articulate and have exceptional communication skills, and able to provide complete grossing services to the pathologist. The Pathologists Assistant duties include but are not limited to: performing gross analysis on any type of surgical specimens, complicated and uncomplicated, small biopsies and large resections. Dissect and describe surgical specimens, prepare tissue for histology processing, recognize and describe gross anatomic features of normal and diseased tissues and organs. Applicants must have a BS with completion of a NACCLS accredited pathologist's assistant program and current Pathologists Assistant ASCP certification. 1 year experience in hospital setting preferred.
