Medical Assistant - Family Practice - Del Mar

This is a benefited, full-time position located at Scripps Clinic Del Mar in the Family Medicine Department. The schedule is generally eight-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours are subject to change based on business needs. No weekends or evenings are required. Your job duties:

This position includes both front office (Patient Service Representative) and back office MA job duties Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person Collecting patient data in person and by phone Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review Administering medications specifically directed by the physician Scheduling of appointments and procedures Complete and accurate message taking Routing messages to the appropriate area for direction Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications Setting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics
