We are a cutting-edge adult and pediatric Allergy and Immunology Clinic that takes pride in delivering the highest quality care. As a Medical Assistant at United Allergy, you are a critical member of the care team and a big reason why our clinic is successful. You will be constantly communicating with patients both in-person and over the phone, performing diagnostic testing and evaluations, documenting relevant data, and managing clinic workflow. As such, a positive attitude and professional demeanor are essential. You must be a fast learner, eager to learn new things, and be detail oriented. We are looking for a long term relationship with the ability to grow as we grow. We will contact you first for a telephone interview after reviewing your resume, followed by an in-person working interview. Responsibilities Assist physicians with patient exams, allergy testing, and immunotherapy administration Prepare and maintain patient records in the EMR system Educate patients on allergy treatments, medication use, and preventative care Administer injections, skin tests, and other diagnostic procedures as directed Perform vital sign measurements and document medical histories Handle scheduling, referrals, and insurance authorizations Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment following safety protocols Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred At least 2 years of prior Medical Assistant experience is preferred. If you have previous experience in an Allergy Clinic, you will be given priority. Stellar interpersonal skills to provide an outstanding patient experience Ability to multi-task An interest in learning and education Proactive and willing to work closely with the physician and other members of the care team Willingness to learn and follow the unique work flow of an Allergy Clinic Ability and willingness to assist in counseling patients about basic allergy conditions and procedures Ability to correctly perform patient care procedures including but not limited to allergy skin testing, immunotherapy injections, preparation of immunotherapy dilutions, food and drug challenges, venom testing, spirometry, administration of biologic medications in accordance with clinical protocols and physician orders Ability to recognize when a patient is having an allergic reaction and alert the physician and other staff to manage the reaction Willingness to cross-train and support other areas within the clinic when necessary
