Grass Valley Radiation Oncology dba CureRays is a clinic that specializes in skin cancer screening, surveillance, and treatment with superficial radiation. We are seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in our CureRays medical office in Grass Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and experience working in a medical office; dermatology knowledge is a plus!

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care:

Warmly greet and check in patients per practice protocols. Assist healthcare professionals in providing patient care, including preparing patients for examinations and procedures. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Set up UltraSound equipment and transfer data/images to patient records. Maintain clean and organized exam rooms and work environment to ensure compliance with health regulations. Collaborate with medical staff and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Administrative Duties:

Schedule patient appointments and assist in care coordination. Prep and review daily charts. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation per legal and ethical standards. Coordinate and follow up on action items for patients. Communicate effectively with patients regarding their care plans and follow-up instructions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure & Certification:

Certified Medical Assistant preferred.

Experience:

Previous experience in medical administrative support or as a Medical Assistant preferred. Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics preferred.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and eClinical a plus. Proficiency with vitals. Proficient in patient care techniques. Knowledge of medical terminology. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Primary work location: CureRays in Grass Valley, CA Environmental and Physical conditions: Regular use of computers, requiring close eye work (typing, reading, writing).

Work schedule:

Day shift, Monday - Friday. Occasional overtime may be required for clinical needs.

Pay:

$22-$24 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
