Beachside is a small, intimate 59 bed Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located here in Huntington Beach, CA. We are one of the few 5-star rated facilities in Orange County. Shifts:
Monday-Friday Full-Time Pay:
$18-20 depending on experience Our Medical records assistant will be in charge of preparing patient charts and gathering information and documents from patients. Ensuring that the medical records are organized, accurate and complete. Creating digital copies of paperwork and storing the records electronically. Filing the paperwork and reports of inpatients quickly and accurately. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance Uphold the facility's Code of Conduct and ensure adherence to Federal and State regulations, including CMS and Department of Health requirements. Department Oversight Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate medical records procedures, including coding, indexing, filing, and retrieval. Record Review Review discharge, death, and nursing unit records; ensure incomplete charts are corrected and returned promptly. Documentation Accuracy Assemble, check, and file resident charts; verify records are properly coded, signed, and indexed before filing. Security & Confidentiality Enforce policies preventing unauthorized removal of charts; conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance. Information Requests Abstract required information for insurance companies, Medicare, and legal proceedings; prepare records for court when needed. Committee Support Compile records for committee review and prepare reports as directed; attend relevant meetings. Interdepartmental Collaboration Maintain strong working relationships with nursing and other facility departments to resolve record related issues.
