The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong foundation in medical terminology, patient service, and clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant will work closely with physicians and nursing staff to ensure the highest quality of care for our patients. Duties Assist in patient intake, including obtaining vital signs and medical history Provide direct patient care, including medication administration and basic life support Support clinical procedures such as X-rays and emergency medicine tasks Maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems Ensure compliance with ICD coding and documentation standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals in various settings including outpatient clinics, urgent care, and hospital medicine Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers to enhance patient service Prepare patients for examinations and assist during procedures in the OR or other clinical areas Exhibit knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical-surgical practices to support patient assessments Qualifications Previous experience in cardiology, geriatrics, internal medicine, or urgent care is preferred Familiarity with hospital environments, including Level I and II trauma centers Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices Experience with patient care in inpatient settings or PICU is advantageous Ability to perform essential tasks related to outpatient services and clinic operations Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required Proficiency in EHR systems for efficient documentation and record management Join our team as a Medical Assistant where you can make a difference in the lives of patients while advancing your career in the healthcare field.
