The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including surgery, cosmetic procedures and follow up post op examinations. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical terminology, and the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation. Perform basic life support measures when necessary. Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting health information. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment. Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow within the office. Qualifications Back office medical assistant at a plastic surgeon's office. Assist in clinic days Tuesdays and Wednesdays removing sutures, cleaning wounds. Keeping exam rooms clean and restocked with supplies. Assisting in local anesthesia procedures including Mohs reconstruction cases on Wednesdays and Fridays. Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments. Previous experience in a medical assistant/surgery center role or relevant training preferred. Knowledge of surgery, plastic surgery, Mohs surgery, and medical-surgical practices is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology, surgical equipment, surgical practices, surgery center practices to facilitate superlative treatment of patients and coordination with the surgical/treatment team. Ability to work effectively in outpatient settings Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate patient care. Excellent interpersonal skills to provide outstanding patient service and in office interaction with team members.
