Do you thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment? If so, we want you to be a part of our team! We are currently seeking a back-office Medical Assistant to join our vibrant practice located in the Laguna Hills area.
Schedule:
Monday
  • Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
Pay:
$18
  • 24 depending on experience and certifications What you'll be doing: Perform preliminary ophthalmic testing including visual acuity, intraocular pressure, refraction, and visual field testing Record and update patient history, vision assessments, and clinical findings in EMR/EHR systems (NextGen preferred) Assist physicians and optometrists during examinations, procedures, and diagnostic testing Prepare patients for exams by gathering initial information and explaining procedures clearly Administer eye drops and assist with basic diagnostic and treatment procedures as directed Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation and patient records Manage patient flow to ensure efficient rooming, testing, and provider transitions Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and follow-up care instructions Prepare and maintain exam rooms, instruments, and clinical equipment to ensure readiness Support both clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth daily office operations Communicate effectively with patients and staff to maintain a high level of care and service What we're looking for: Medical Assistant diploma required Experience with EMR (NextGen) required Good to have: 1+ years of Ophthalmology experience preferred 2+ years of Medical Assistant experience preferred COA•Certified Ophthalmic Assistant preferred COT•Certified Ophthalmic Technician preferred COMT•Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technician preferred
