Duties Assist with patient intake by collecting comprehensive medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to monitor patient health status Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout the process Support physicians with clinical tasks including medication administration, wound dressing, X-ray procedures, and basic life support when needed Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans Conduct basic physiology and anatomy assessments to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Facilitate patient education on medication use, post-procedure care, and health maintenance strategies Assist with inpatient and outpatient care activities across various specialties such as geriatrics, internal medicine, surgical units, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and Level I & II trauma centers Support hospital staff with medical-surgical duties, emergency medicine protocols, and clinic operations to ensure seamless patient flow Qualifications Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration techniques Experience working with EHR systems in hospital or outpatient settings is essential Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Familiarity with X-ray procedures experience is advantageous Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations Proven ability to work effectively in inpatient environments such as Level I & II trauma centers or PICU settings Ability to adapt quickly in fast-paced settings like urgent care clinics or emergency departments while maintaining attention to detail Embark on a fulfilling career where your dedication directly impacts patient well-being.
