Medical Assistant Sirish Nakka, MD Inc Sleep Health MD Monterey, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $22 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications CPR Certification Customer communication Electronic health records (EHR) management BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Health record tracking Full Job Description Medical Assistant (Full-Time) — Spanish Preferred We are seeking a professional, patient-focused Medical Assistant to join our clinical team full-time. The MA will perform patient-related tasks, greet and direct patients, maintain accurate records, answer and return calls, and act as a liaison between patients and medical staff. The ideal candidate is organized, calm under pressure, bilingual (Spanish preferred), and holds an MA/CMA certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet patients, check them in/out, verify demographics and insurance, and ensure a welcoming environment Room patients, obtain vital signs, medical histories, and reason for visit Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms and equipment Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) promptly Answer incoming calls, triage and route calls appropriately, and return missed calls in a timely manner Serve as liaison between patients and clinical staff to facilitate communication and follow-up Administer routine injections and perform basic clinical tasks per protocol (as certified) Support assigned providers as their designated MA; ensure continuity of care Encourage a positive, cooperative work environment among medical assistants and clinic staff Make sound decisions in urgent situations and escalate appropriately
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; MA/CMA certification preferred/required 1+ year of clinical experience preferred Bilingual Spanish/English preferred Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills Proficient with EHR systems and basic office equipment CPR certification preferred/required (specify if needed) Ability to work full-time hours; flexibility for schedule variations as needed
