Medical Assistant

Adult Primary Care practice looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to be part of our outpatient team. If you are looking for a fun, collaborative group in a fast-paced, busy environment - you have found us! Monday - Friday NO weekends ! As a Medical Assistant with our practice you will be responsible for providing support to ensure efficient patient throughput and quality care. You will support providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. Responsibilities Perform medical assisting procedures within scope of practice Escort patients to exam rooms, measure vital signs, and document all information in patient's electronic chart (athenahealth). Give instructions to patients as instructed by provider Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patients/physicians Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered, to include EKGs, urine dip, spirometry, etc. Float for coverage at sister clinics as determined by operational need (this includes clinics in Murrieta, Temecula, Sun City, Hemet, and any other clinics added in the future). All other duties as assigned by Manager Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Excellent written and verbal communication skills Reliable Transportation Completion of a Medical Assistant program Perks - in accordance with company handbook policies: No evenings or weekends Closed major holidays - paid! You won't be traveling between sites during the same day, but your scheduled workdays may take place at a different clinic location depending on operational needs. Are you comfortable working at different clinic locations as part of your regular schedule?

(1) Date Street, Murrieta; (2) Ynez Rd., Temecula; (3) Baxter Road, Murrieta, (4) Sun City/Menifee, (5) Hemet. Are you able and willing to reliably commute to and work at any of the 5 assigned clinic locations?

License/Certification:

Medical Assistant Certification (Required) valid and active BLS Certification (Required)
