Job Description

Zand Medical Partners, a leading healthcare provider in Orange, CA, is committed to excellence in patient care and community health. Our office is constantly growing and we are currently seeking dedicated Medical Discharge Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring smooth clinic flow by handling patient checkouts, providing essential post-visit information, and supporting the clinic with various administrative duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
Patient Checkout:
Ensure a seamless checkout process for patients, providing them with next steps and relevant information on completing lab tests, prescriptions, and other follow up care. Ensure patients fully understand the provider's visit summary and any next steps in their care plan, including scheduling follow up appointments.
Handle Provider and Patient Documents:
Assist providers by managing their paperwork, including completing and organizing necessary documentation. Efficiently fax out any paperwork, orders, referrals, and other clinical documents as needed, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
Collaborate with staff and providers:
Work closely with other Medical Assistants and scribes to ensure optimal clinic flow and a positive patient experience. Communicate with providers as needed to optimize patient care without delays.
Phone Support:
Support in answering incoming patient phone calls, with professionalism and confidence. Direct inquiries to the appropriate team members and provide general information as needed. Make outgoing patient phone calls as needed to provide patients with information on their care.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting is highly desirable. Does not require MA certificate. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with medical terminology and office procedures. Proficiency with office software and basic computer skills. A team player with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
