Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team in Ramona, CA. The successful candidate will provide essential clinical and administrative support within a Family Medicine practice. This role is vital in ensuring seamless patient care delivery, accurate medical documentation, and efficient office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Registers patients and inputs data in computer system, vital signs and health screening. Able to schedule, with good phone and customer service skills. Prepares rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment. Provides appropriate, direct patient care in assigned area(s). Takes patient's vital signs and provides personal care to patients. Opens sterile supplies and sets up for procedures. Demonstrates sensitivity to patient's comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress. Ensures accurate maintenance of patient's medical records and that patient records are treated as confidential information. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations, interdepartmental objectives, and infection control policies. Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care. Provides health care instruction to patient and family members. Documents transactions, phone conversations, observations, and orders in medical record according to policy and procedure of clinic. Responsible for following clinic policies and procedures for infection control in handling and disposing of infectious/hazardous waste materials. Responsible for accurate administration of medications as appropriate and collection/handling of lab specimens.Requirements:
Experience as a Medical Assistant within a Family Practice setting preferred Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and pharmacology Proficiency in Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Fluent in Spanish preferred Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are advantageous Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and administrative tasksPay:
$25.00 - $26.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per weekBenefits:
