Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist, where you will be the welcoming face and efficient support system for our patients and providers. This vital role combines clinical duties with administrative responsibilities to ensure seamless patient care and smooth clinic operations. You will be instrumental in managing patient interactions, maintaining accurate medical records, and supporting clinical procedures in a concierge medical clinic. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help foster a positive environment that prioritizes patient service excellence and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in and check-out processes using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Collect and document vital signs, patient histories, and reason for visit accurately in compliance with medical documentation standards. Prepare examination rooms, assist providers during patient examinations, and support clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, hearing and vision screening. Manage appointment scheduling, follow-up reminders, and coordinate referrals or diagnostic testing to optimize patient flow. Maintain comprehensive medical records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and update electronic health records with accurate ICD coding and medical terminology. Support administrative tasks including answering phones, managing patient intake forms, and verifying insurance information. Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and ready for use in outpatient or inpatient settings. Experience Proven experience working in a busy medical office environment with familiarity in medical office management practices. Prior clinical experience in primary care or concierge medicine is highly desirable. Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record keeping. Experience with inpatient settings like ICU or trauma centers is advantageous for those interested in hospital-based roles. Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while providing exceptional patient service.
