Southern California GI & Liver Centers, a specialized medical practice with multiple locations is seeking qualified individuals for a Medical Assistant position (front and back office duties). Position is open for office in San Clemente, California. Responsibilities will also include, but are not limited to: Preparing electronic charts of upcoming new and established patients by entering referring and other treating doctor contact information, dates and types of previous surgeries, and known diagnoses from supplied medical records Extensive patient and guest interaction including providing patient education information as directed by the provider Appointment scheduling Taking vital signs, checking medical history and medication lists as requested by the provider Job Qualifications Professional appearance Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately under a variable but often very busy workload Professional interpersonal skills with a positive mindset Recent experience in a medical setting for at least 2 years is preferred Experience working with electronic medical record systems is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred We are looking for a strong team player, with a commitment to serving our patients professionally Bilingual in English/Spanish is required.
