Full Time Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant (Podiatry) San Luis Obispo & Templeton, CA Full-Time | Split Between Two Locations We are a busy, physician-led specialty medical practice seeking a high-performing Medical Assistant who is organized, proactive, and patient-focused. This role requires urgency, accountability, and follow-through. The ideal candidate understands that excellent patient care depends on attention to detail, strong communication, and teamwork. Who We're Looking For You are someone who: Thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment Is detail-oriented and dependable Takes initiative without constant supervision Communicates clearly with patients and teammates Values teamwork and professional accountability Stays on top of messages, tasks, and follow-ups Core Responsibilities Assist providers with direct patient care and in-office procedures Room patients efficiently and maintain clinic flow Clean, stock, and properly turn over exam and procedure rooms Answer patient calls and perform accurate patient triage Manage and follow up on patient messages in the EMR Assist with authorizations for special studies (MRI, CT, vascular studies, etc.) Coordinate care between providers, clinical staff, and front office Split time between San Luis Obispo and Templeton locations Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred but will train the right candidate Minimum 2+ years experience in a medical office strongly preferred Experience in a high-volume specialty practice is a plus Comfortable using EMR systems (eClinicalWorks experience a plus) Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Reliable transportation between office locations This Role Is NOT a
