Medical Evaluation Assistant

Position Summary:

We are looking for a part-time Medical Evaluation Assistant to join our team. This role is essential in supporting doctors with evaluations and ensuring smooth operations on evaluation days at various sites. Travel to and between multiple different sites is required. The ideal candidate will be punctual, communicative, and able to think critically to troubleshoot issues as they arise.

General Duties:

Maintain Punctuality and open lines of communication. Think critically and troubleshoot issues as they arise. Familiarity with Google Drive, the ability to use a smartphone, and email communication is essential.

Evaluation Days:

Potentially travel to different worksites each day. Open and close offices as needed for evaluations. Call patients on the day of their appointment to confirm time and details. Set up the evaluation room and ensure the doctor's certification is visible. Provide patients with the correct paperwork and ensure it is properly filled out. Communicate with the physician liaison throughout the day, providing necessary updates and paperwork.

Requirements:

Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to multiple locations within San Luis Obispo County . Valid California driver's license. Ability to think critically and troubleshoot when necessary. Proficient in Google Drive, a smartphone, and email.

Skills:

Strong communication and attention to detail. Proficiency in office management practices and procedures. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are highly desirable. Familiarity with phone systems and effective communication techniques. Time management skills to ensure the ability to travel to various worksites and service patients and doctors.
