Temporary Medical Assistant Urology Associates of the Central Coast San Luis Obispo, CA Job Details Temporary | Full-time $23 - $25 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Qualifications Bilingual Vital signs Management Certified Medical Assistant Time management Full Job Description Urology Associates has a full-time opening for a Temporary Medical Assistant in our San Luis Obispo Office. This is a busy specialty medical practice with multiple practitioners. Position is not benefit eligible. Previous experience and bilingual preferred. As a Medical Assistant you will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner. Responsibilities Assist with patient exams, take vitals, Update meds, allergies and risk factor Update and file medical records and insurance reports Assist with prostate biopsies, cystoscopies, vasectomies, and all other in office surgical procedures Set up rooms for procedures and surgical procedures (i.e. laying out instruments, prepping patients and assisting providers. Assist patients after procedures and clean up room in compliance with ASC guidelines. Understands the use of medications pertaining to urology and prostate cancer. Obtain prior auths for medications Other duties as assigned by office supervisor Skills Proven working experience as a medical assistant Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software Certified medical assistant
