The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical assisting, with experience in diverse clinical settings such as urgent care environments. This role requires excellent patient service skills, proficiency in electronic health records management, and the ability to support physicians and nursing staff efficiently. As a Medical Assistant-Swing Shift, you will play a vital part in delivering high-quality patient care while ensuring smooth clinic operations during evening hours. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including recording vital signs, updating medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support when necessary. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) accurately by documenting patient encounters, medical histories, and treatment plans in compliance with privacy regulations. Support medical office management by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and coordinating referrals or follow-up care. Ensure proper handling of medical documentation and records. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures clearly, and maintaining a compassionate attitude. Maintain clinical cleanliness and sterilization standards while adhering to safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Skills Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management tools. Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding practices. Experience with phlebotomy techniques and medication administration within inpatient or outpatient settings. Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately and efficiently while providing excellent patient care. Familiarity with medical office management tasks including appointment scheduling and documentation workflows.
